HIV/AIDS and Nutrition Status Report
The HIV/AIDS and Nutrition Status Report (2008) brings together information about HIV/AIDS and nutrition interventions in Mozambique within the context of current policy frameworks. The objectives of this xercise are five-fold namely: 1) to outline the HIV/AIDS situation and document existing linkages between nutrition and HIV/AIDS in Mozambique; 2) to carry out a general stock-taking of integration of nutrition components in HIV/AIDS interventions; 3) to identify key partnerships and ongoing national coordination efforts; 4) to identify best practices; and finally 5) to give an overview of progress to date, operational gaps and major challenges to be addressed including a set of concise recommendations that would ensure a rational approach to the integration of nutrition in the national HIV/AIDS response.
UNGASS Mozambique 2006-2007
In 2001 UN member states signed a Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS which included a series of ambitious targets and reports on progress against these targets are submitted every two years. Civil society organizations and other partners have been involved in compiling many of the reports. This reports lists main findings about the situation in Mozamique.
