Maputo (05 Março, 2009) – O Sistema das Nações Unidas em Moçambique assinala o 8 de Março, Dia Internacional da Mulher, cujo lema é “Mulheres e homens: Unidos pelo fim da violência contra a mulher”, com um apelo à acção pelo fim da violência contra a mulher.

Mozambican women have made great strikes towards emancipation in the last four decades. This was a result of a combination of their dedication and hard work and deliberate policy to this end adopted by the government, said the Mozambican President Armando Guebuza at the First National Conference on Women and Gender held in Maputo in August 2008.
